About Me

I fell into communications almost by accident—I was working in sales and kept seeing this massive gap between what corporate was saying and what customers actually needed to hear. Our sales and service teams were stuck trying to bridge that disconnect, so a communications role was born to support them. That experience taught me that the best communication happens when you truly understand your audience's perspective, which is why I've always valued working across different environments—office, manufacturing floor, hospital visits—to really get what matters to each group.

My love for writing started early (though I've thankfully learned that shorter is definitely better than those 5-page, double-spaced English class requirements!), and my passion for theater has been tremendous in shaping how I think about getting messages across to different audiences. There's something about live performance that teaches you collaboration and how to read a room that translates perfectly to organizational communications.

These days, I'm living in Florida with my husband, our dog, and my mother-in-law—we moved here in 2024 to be closer to my daughter and parents. The multi-generational household keeps me sharp on adapting messages for different knowledge bases and perspectives. Plus, I don't miss Pennsylvania winters one bit! When I'm not working, you'll find me on the golf course, planning our next Disney trip, or at whatever local theater production I can find. And fair warning—lots of laughter is required in any collaboration with me.
